Question:

What is the best (TOTALLY FREE) Anti-Virus/Spyware available for download?

I have tried AVG, Avast (I didn't like it at all), SuperAntispyware. I need one which doesn't only scan the computer but also REMOVES threats and viruses. I run my CC-Cleaner and CWShredder every two days. I'd prefer FREEWARE, rather than just a free trial. I know you don't get something for nothing, but right now, a full paying version is not an option. I also have tried SpyBot Search And Destroy (like Avast, I didn't like this one either).

Also could you tell me which ones NOT to download, as some online scanners etc actually give you viruses and spyware.

Thanks :)

Never have more than one AV on your PC as it will slow it down too much.

The free versions are never as good as the paid options. McAfee is your best bet. If you want full protection you are better paying for it!!
