What is the best Team for the Elite Four in Pokemon Diamond?

I'm just wondering as my team is really terrible. They range from mid 40's to early 50's. Basically: What pokemon should I have? Levels, Moves, and so on. Thanks!

  1. Don't expect to beat the elite four with level 40's

  2. If you want an easy win you should have all Pokemon at lv. 60. I finished it first time with pokemon lv.50 - 55 and that was hard. You can make it at lv. 50 but only if you're a really good player and have good pkmns. I suggest that you train in victory road and go back and battle strong trainers with Vs.seeker until you reach Lv.60.

I don't know wich pkmn you have but it's easiest if you have a balanced team with many different pkmn types. Normal moves mostly aren't good at all. Let's say you have a fire pkmn. I would teach it 2 or 3 fire moves and 1 or 2 of other type. Of the fire moves one would be a stong move with low PP, like fire blast, power 120. The second would be a weaker move with higher PP, at least PP 15 and power 80, like flame thrower. Delete moves like cut and rocksmash at the move deleter before you enter. You can always teach then again later.

My ideal pkmn leauge team would contain:

    1. Water

    2. Electric

    3. Fire

    4. Dark (with at least 1 psy move)

    5. Grass

    6. Dialga

In my first leuge team I had 1 Onix, but it ended up not doing anything.

Remember to buy as many revives, revival herbs (from the herb shop) hyper potions and status healers as you can. Also bring as many elixir and other PP restoring items as you have. Without PP your Pokemon are no good.

Save your revival herbs and max revives for the last fights and use them during battle. Heal between with potions and ordinary revives.

There are some things you always should think of when you're faceing the league.

    1. Defeat the pkmn as fast as possible. The best is to finish it with one attack. Mostly this isn't hard even on a higher level pokemon, if you have a strong super effective attack. But if the higher lv. pkmn gets to attack, the same could happen to your pokemon.

    2. Always look what pokemon your opponent is about to use and switch to a super effective type. Do this when you're asked to switch pokemon so that you can attack first. If you don't know what type the pkmn is, ´check it in the bottom of the guide.

    3. Don't feel sure to win when the enemy has like 1 hp left and use a weaker move. Everyone in pokemon leauge uses at least 1 full restore on each pokemon. Cynthia can use even more.

    4. Don't let 1 pkmn fight alone. Always make sure to have at least 2 pokemon in your party alive. As soon as it becomes 1 you have to revive another. ALWAYS do this, even if it's your opponent's last pkmn with 1 hp. He or she can use a full restore an defeat your pkmn with one attack. Then you'll loose everything.

    5. Don't save untill you're sure you'll be able to defeat Cynthia. Otherwise you may get trapped in pkmn leuge and have to lose and give up half your money.

Don't save if you lose, just restart!

The first trainer is a bug type user so fire and flying pkmn are good. Use dark on Drapion. He should be no problem. If he is, then you have no chance to beat the rest so don't save.

    His pkmn is:

    lv. 53 Dustox (Bug/Poison)

    lv. 53 Beautifly (Bug/Flying)

    lv. 54 Heracross (Bug/Fighting)

    lv. 54 Vespiquen (Bug/Flying)

    lv. 57 Drapion (Poison/Dark)

The next trainer uses ground pkmn so bring a water type. But watch out for her wiscach and quagsire, they are both ground and water so neihter water nor electric is effective. Try with grass pkmn if you have room for one. This shouldn't be very hard with the right pkmn.

    lv. 55 Quagsire (Water/Ground)

    lv. 55 Whiscash (Water/Ground)

    lv. 56 Sudowoodo (Rock)

    lv. 56 Golem (Rock/Ground)

    lv. 59 Hippowdon (Ground)

Next is the fire trainer, but he only has 2 fire pkmn o.O

Take out the Lopunny fast before it makes your pkmn fall in love. Use Dialga or something. Use fire against Steelix. Use a dark type pkmn against Driftblim (or one who knows dark moves). You can also use electric. Use water against the rest.

    lv. 57 Lopunny (Normal)

    lv. 57 Steelix (Steel/Ground)

    lv. 58 Drifblim (Ghost/Flying)

    lv. 58 Rapidash (Fire)

    lv. 61 Infernape (Fire/Fighting)

Next is the 4th trainer, with psychic pkmn. Train a really strong dark pkmn for this. I didn't have one so he was very hard. Take out Bronzong with fire. You can use psy  moves on medicham.

    v. 59 Mr. Mime (Psychic)

    lv. 59 Girafarig (Normal/Psychic)

    lv. 60 Medicham (Fighting/Psychic)

    lv. 60 Alakazam (Psychic)

    lv. 63 Bronzong (Steel/Psychic)

Next is the Champion. Heal and save before you go into her room.

Here it's important to have as many pkmn types as possible in your party. Don't let any of your faint 'cuz you need them all.

Roserade is easy, just blast it with fire. Gastrodon is the annoying water/ground type, use grass if you have. Against spiritomb, use dark. Milotic is strong, use electric or grass. Take on Lucarico with psychic or fire. Garchomp is really annoying, it defeats most pkmn with one hit. Train Dialga as much as you can and try to defeat it with one roar of time before it attacks. If you fail Dialga will faint by it's earthquake. If that happens, send out your water pkmn and revive Dialga. When your water faints, send out Dialga and try again.

    lv. 60 Roserade (Grass/Poison)

    lv. 60 Gastrodon (Water/Ground)

    lv. 61 Spiritomb (Ghost/Dark)

    lv. 63 Milotic (Water)

    lv. 63 Lucario (Fighting/Steel)

    lv. 66 Garchomp (Dragon/Ground)

I hope this helps. Good luck!! :D

Mail me if it is something else you wonder.

  3. Try to spread out your moves and pokemon types so they could suit any situation, also have them all lvl60+.

  4. I beat the elite four using Torterra, Luxray and Dialga.

They are about 60 levels I think.
