  1. For a formal dinner cinta Ria in Darling Harbour, for a casual thai dinner i would suggest Pinto in Balmain.

  2. Thai Pothong in Newtown, the green curry is great and Tum Thai in randwick ... Great spicy tom yum goong

  3. Intra Thai in Crows Nest. The Intra Chicken is one of the best things I have ever tasted! Another great one is Banks Thai in Newtown, right next to the Newtown railway station. The menu changes every couple of days as the chef only cooks with what is fresh and good at the markets when he goes shopping. In fact, Newtown is FULL of great thai restaurants :)

  4. I love Papaya Thai restaurant in Cremorne.  Fantastic food with great flavours and with a menu that extends beyond the normal curry, pad thai, chicken & basil fayre.  Duck salad was amazing and beautifully presented.  That said the basics were also great with a lovely massamman curry.  The place is always heaving so you'll need to book, although the fact is so busy means service can be a little awry at times.  It could do with being a few dollars cheaper as well, but oif you are looking for a splurge I'd thoroughly recommend it.

  5. There's a really nice place on main street of Glebe.  I forget the name, but think they have also opened up on Oxford street. Sounds like 'wok on inn' or something...

    Love the red curry.

Also at the spot Randwick, good thai, again forget the name.

Intra Thai Crows Nest is good (see previous answer) but not the best.
