I have a Toshiba Satellite A135-s2246.

I Upgraded it to 1.5 GB RAM

1.7 GHZ Intel Celeron M

CD Burner- DVD read

Wireless Adapter

What is the best VIsta OS for me, I don't care how much it costs. I don't want it to run too slow. Is there any software or tweak to increase speed?

  1. Don't get Vista. Vista is a resource hog, and unless you have the latest computer technology on the market, I wouldn't recommend it. Stay with Windows XP for a few more years - it's much faster and has less bugs because of how long it has been out on the market, not to mention Vista's compatibility problems.

  2. That celeron is going to hurt your performance. Probably if you have to go with vista, home premium. Preferably though I'd run that system with XP instead.

  3. with that capability vista isnt for you. Vista doesnt manage memory and resources very well making it a very undesirable OS. The aero theme which provides eye candy for vista needs lots of power to run... you can use xp instead and color your pc with style xp, or switch to linux. Compiz fusion can make your pc look awsome but the downside is you will have to educate yourself and learn about it.
