What is the best acoustic guitar for the money?

I'm looking for the following:

-electric plug-in (preferably but not required)

-cut-away (preferably but not required)

-something with full-deep tone

-price range $1,000-3,000

-beautiful appearance, nothing too light or too dark

-spruce top, rosewood sides/back??

-i play mostly finger-picking style

-nice inlays

  2. Your requirements are nearly exactly the same as mine when I purchased a Taylor 812ce. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Just my opinion, but since I already did all the legwork, hopefully this will make it easier on you. I have zero complaints about this guitar. I even named it after my mother so you can bet it's not going anywhere...

    Buy one (or similar model, say, 614ce) used for $2-3000.

    Never purchase a premium guitar such as this from anyone other than a very reputable AUTHORIZED Taylor dealer. You will want to play the exact guitar you intend to buy, not one "just like it."
