I'm looking for a digital camera from $300 up to $600, but ideally around $400 of $500. I want a camera with at least 10 megapixel and upwards of 12x but ideally more like 16x-20x. Definitely with the ultra zooms image stabilization is important. I would also like a fast shutter speed and a variety of options. I don't mind something a little larger as long as it takes good photos, good zoom, decent flash, low noise, and options as well as style and comfort. I'm not a professional photographer but I like it as a hobby and really want a good camera to capture my special moments. I need this camera for a school trip to Paris this upcoming Easter with my French class. I don't know a lot about the true technical aspects of the cameras and would like any advice anyone has to give me. My top contendors are the Olympus 570, a Canon Powershot, Sony Cybershot, a Fujifilm, a Kodak but I'm leaning towards the Olympus, Sony, or Canon. I'm really undecided and appreciate any advice.
