  1. Most parents in our area send there kids at four years old. To me any thing younger that that is still considered a baby  (sort of) and needs to be at home with their parents. They push kids so much now days What ever happened to letting them be a kid. They grow up so fast as it is. Let them enjoys their childhood.

  2. When they are potty trained.  4 is the standard age.  However, there are pre-preschools that will take them before that.

Start doing preschool activities at home, first.  Putting toys away where they go, learning about coloring on the paper, not on the floor, etc.

  3. I feel children learn at any age if that is what you want. For my own children I sent them at three and they were potty trained. We also always had children for play groups.

  4. It depends on the child, and what kind of programs are available in your area.  There are all day programs that have preschool within child care.  The programs are half days are usually for 3 year olds at the youngest and they usually require them to be potty trained.  If your child is not potty trained, child care centers with preschool usually excepts children that are not potty trained.

  5. I'm thinking around 3 since they start JK @ age 4
