bud the best farm to get is a dairy farm!! honestly it is the best decsion u will ever make!! dairy farming takes hard work and commitment but it is all worth it in the end. mainly that depends on the area from which you are.Andhra is a potential area of Cotton, Chilly ,Rice etc..You can start a business of selling this products in to other states like Kerala where agricultural products are short.

A lot of people here in the US are leaning towards organic farming.  Bigger pesticide companies are trying to take the market over.  Namely, Monsanto.  They make Round Up, a line of herbicides that are dangerous to ingest, and hang around in the soil for years.  They genetically altered seeds to make the seeds resistant to the herbicide so that farmers can kill the weeds with it without killing the crops.  They made Agent Orange.  Look up Monsanto and you will see what I mean.  They then go and harrass farmers saying that they have the patent on the special seeds, and Monsanto has the right to sue the farmer because their crop has cross pollenated.  Organic is the way you want to go.

Just like Kadappa stones in your place, AP has good Agrobased ventures too. Extension Training center, KVK,Andra Agri University etc guide farmers for new enterprises.

Starting a new rice mill (Rs.100 crores), is good. In east godavari There are lot of ventures like Jatropha diesal, processing of mango, Banana etc are there. We cant say that a particular Agro industry is specifically profitable. Now a days almost any Agri venture is profitable, provided you get right advice, right market and right place to start.
