  1. purifion the tower model out of canada (great unit) icp250

  2. From what I've seen you're right to avoid Oreck XL purifiers.  I'd avoid Ionic Breeze, as well.  Despite the marketing hype, both have given consistently poor showings according to Consumer Reports, though I can't provide a link; you have to be a subscriber to see the report.

Although this site is a retailer, it seems to provide a lot of useful information: http://www.air-purifiers-america.com/  They test at least some of what they sell.  They also consider independent research and consumer feedback.

At one or both of these sites, the following two air purifiers have done well...

    IQAir HealthPro

    Alen A350

The Alen may be too small for your salon.  It's apparently rated up to 800 square feet, vs. nearly 2200 for you.  But it looks a lot less expensive than the IQAir, and may do alright, just take a little longer to clear the air.

    Good luck and happy breathing.

  3. What in the world does this have to do with home theater system ELECTRONICS? Look under Yahoo Answers 'Categories' to find a correct forum for your question, but not here.

P.S. None of the non-commercial types, like Orack or Sharper Image work, per Consumer Reports, and you are getting into big bucks for commercial filtering.
