Looking for a good (free) codec pack. I don't want to install another video player and Windows Media Player doesn't always have the right codecs available for download. Suggestions please.

  1. The K-Lite codec pack would be the best - allowing you to play over 99% of any video file (AVI, MPG, etc).

  2. http://www.flvplayer4free.com/flv-codec....

  3. When you are smart, you do not install any codecs.

Instead install Gomplayer. It is free and does play all file types without having to install extra codec.

Just go to preferences    -  others  --   select all

    File Types   -  Codec
