  1. Some phone companies have unlimited calling. For example, Verizon has unlimited (flat-rate) calling anywhere in the USA and Canada for $49.99 a month; and if you want caller ID, call waiting, and voice mail, it is only $5.00 more ($54.99); even further and bundle it with High Speed Internet (3.0 Mbps) for only $74.99 for both; and even better, bundles with DirecTV (200+ channels, 4 rooms, free DVR, free install), its only $99.99 for all three.

For Verizon FiOS (fiber optics right to your house), the Tripleplay (phone | internet | TV) price is only $104.99/mo (unlimited phone, internet at 10 Mbps/2Mbps, and over 225 fiber optic TV channels (free HDDVR and free install)  + for $10.00 more and the internet speed is 20Mbps/5Mbps).

Other phone companies have similar plans, but only Verizon has fiber optics right to your house (FTTP).  You must live in a Verizon area to get Verizon.  Check your local phone company.

  2. T-Mobile just open up a $10.00/month home phone, T-Mobile at home with call waiting, caller ID etc.

    P.S. it's for T-Mobile customers only.

  3. magic jack you only pay 40 bucks for the usb thing for your computer then you only pay 20 bucks a year and you get local long distance caller id call waiting they give u voice mail its great

    the website is magic jack.com

  4. If you want cheap....then get the MagicJack!

I have it and love it!!

You also can get Skype.com  I have used it for many years before the MJ came along!! remember, your computer has to be on for MJ and Skype...unless you use are "real" VoIP then the phone-cord (RJ-45) is plugged directly into the modem....no need to have your computer "ON"

I had no clue what I was doing, but I just got it last year for 40 dollars and after 6 month I love it so much.....then I got the 19.95 for the fallowing year!! I think they called it for the FCC....license-fees or something!!

but here are a few things I have to tell 'ya....long distance if free for the US and Canada....

If you are like the rest of most ppl who need every thing spoon-feed, then the MJ is not for you....but if you get turned on by getting something cheap, like me....well, then the MJ is for you!!!

I had seen it first last year on the ClarkHoward show, so I got it right-a-way, because was ready to go on vacation to Europe. I've used it all over there, and anywhere you got high-speed Internet....now, all my friend s in Europe wanted one too, so I bought 12 MJ...activate them in the US, got an US area-code and mailed them abroad.....so now they can call me for free with on US area-code!!!!

Land Phones its really easy to use....like a VoIP service (Internet phone)

but you computer got to be on at all times for it to work!!

You gotta download their software....but its very easy and you don't need to do nothing else...! I have it since last year...! so far I love it...I take it on vacation to other countries so I can call back for free with an US area code! Make sure you use another user account and not the admin account...also if you have trouble...check your device manager....don't do your iPot stuff at the same time...!

all you get is the Magic Jack...the rest you learn on your on, or at the MJ forum!

You will be up and running within 5 minutes....you can ask here questions when you get it going!! There are alot of little things you have to know........for it to work just right!!

the most important thing with the MJ...it all depends on your ISP provider....! I use other VoIP on my computer, but the MJ was the easiest to install...!

    I hope that helps you..
