Do you know of a website in English that shows the bus routes and prices for Spain and Portugal? I'm finding it tough to find any information.

  1. The chaepest way is definitely travelling by bus (walking, hitch- hiking and c**p apart).

Here's the english link for the biggest bus operating company:

    http://www.eurolines.com/?id=30

    Good luck.

  2. www.theaa.com

they'll show you. it's pretty easy to drive and fast. excellent roads.

  3. I think its to drive.  Hire a car and its basically motorway all the way.  If you hire from on of the big firms you will be able to do the one way journey.  The Portuguese are not very keen on the Spanish so if you went by train or bus there would be a lot of changing and waiting.  Plane would be an horrendous price. Alternatively you could advertise in the local English paper for a lift, you can't be the only person in Lisbon to want to do this journey.

  4. There are not a lot of options on this choice of places, there is very little of a national bus service going in Spain and the train service is even worse, either find a flight or drive

  5. walk

  6. Cheapest: Walking

    Best: Limousine

    Reasonable: Train

Bus: No thanks, takes too long.

    Contact: US Embassy!

    .

  7. Bus. The hours are long but it´s worth it. About a third of a plane ticket and slightly less than train. Trains imply being dropped off at a possible distance away from your destination. Buses tend to bring you closer.

  8. Take the Eurolines bus dervice from Lisbon to Madrid and then the Regional bus service from Madrid Sur bus station to Alicante.
