  1. audio is 100% correct

  2. Heat works well.  Then use some kind of cleaner to remove the residue.

  3. Hair dryer to warm the stickers.

Use a gentle scraper to take them off. I emphasize gentle.

And WD-40 to clean up the sticky residue.

  4. i had this problem too...make sure the paint is dry first...then when it is nice and dry, put hot water on it and kind of rub it off, it wont hurt the paint if its dry, if tht dont work try to go to a boat store, and they have stuff there...

  5. i just experienced the same situation last year..I agree 100% with SARAH. Get some GOO-GONE, spread it on a head of time-leave it sit for a few mintues to start loosening the adhesive. You can also go to NAPA and they have a spray for sticker-adhesive removal. Buy the plastic SCRAPER, it will save you-metal objects will mar the gelcoat finish. The hair-dryer will heat up the glue and make it alomost melt off...I would suggest this as well. Once the stickers are gone, then you have to work the rest of the glue off the boat-goodluck!

  6. We had success using a hair dryer and plastic scraper, then lacquer thinner to remove the adhesive residue. Went rather easily, much to my surprise!

    Good Luck!

  7. be very careful with heat. If this finish is gel coat your fine. If its two part paint its more susceptible, very sisceptible to bubble and melt.

Peel of as much as you can and acetone will get the rest of with a 3m cloth - garaunteed and no damage.

  8. Carefull use of a hair dryer will loosen the glue.

  9. goo gone  walmart for like 4$ a bottle , just pick it  a little on one corner then spray and peel , also a hair dryer to heat up the glue and just keep picking at it  , slow process but better than scratching the paint
