What is the best and fastest wireless router

Question

i have an Ipod touch. the wireless router i have barely makes it to my room and it isn't strong. what is a good wireless router that will reach my room and then some with a strong connection.

Don't listen to anyone else.  If you own anything with apple, get Airport Extreme.  The best on the market!  Not those 10 routers my brother bought.  I got an Airport Extreme so I wasn't bitching about losing internet anymore.

I prefer a Linksys 54G Router because it gets about a 75 ft. range and has excellent speed.

The best and faster wireless router is without a doubt a netgear.

Getting a new wireless router is not going to solve your problem.  You need to get a range extender or a directional antenna.  The antennas that come with these routers radiate in all directions equally.

A range extender can be something that is just a wireless access point but can also be turned into a repeater.  It talks to your router wirelessly.  This gives you a great deal of latency.

There are also powerline wireless extenders.  These are more expensive, but they are much easier to setup, and they give you much better performance.

You can also ditch wireless completely by going strictly with powerline.

Again, powerline can extend the range of a wireless network, or it can replace wireless altogether.  There are also kits that comes with the wireless built in to the powerline adapters.
