What is the best and safest way to clean DVD and other similar gadget's lenses ?

<Sigh> Well I guess you could get one of those Automatic Cleaning Kits.....

But the only REAL reason you would need to clean the LASER pickup is if you smoke heavily around your DVD player, or fried chicken right next to the DVD player.....

Other than that, even dust in the air can't affect the laser and the lens....it's really not in an area where your fingers can come in contact with the lens either.....

If it were, I'd tell you to take some rubbing alcohol or 93% isopropyl alcohol and a Q-tip and clean the lens if you TOUCHED it regularly with greasy fingers......

So....are you touching it when you shouldn't be?  If so, then use the Q-tip method, as that's the only REAL way to clean the lens...(unplug the unit first)

try also clean your dvd disc by spreading small amount of toothpaste on the area with scratch use cotton in spreading the paste.
