  1. I dont understand why the person who said DONT exercise was given repeated thumbs down... just goes to show Yahoo Answers is not the best place for answers...  Because he's right.  You should NOT exercise when your blood sugar is high, it WILL raise your blood sugar and cause a spike.  Insulin is lacking in your body and you need to take it.  But please, talk to a doctor and dont listen to the people telling you to exercise because theyre absolutly wrong.

  2. There is no QUICK method, other than insulin.

If you are diabetic, an unusual "exercise snap" will often cause blood sugar to go even higher before everything kicks in and it goes lower.

Vinegar and cinnamon are "folk remedies".  There is some truth to them, but it does not hold true for everybody.  You can't count in them in your case, at least not until you;ve done several weeks of experiments -- experiments which could damage your already overworked body.

The best remedy for high blood suagr is to not let it get there in the first place.  WATCH WHAT YOU EAT!  Stay away from sugary and starchy foods, and eat more fibers.

if you are taking insulin shots, follow your doctors order exactly.

  3. Exercise!  Put on some techno music and do some frenetic dancing, jog around the block 2-3 times, jump rope in the backyard, anything to get your heart pumping fast for about 15 minutes should bring it down within an hour.

  4. i agree with the hardcore exercise, not all of us can be perfect like gary b who doesnt know what hes talking about neways, if i go for a run or do a lot of cardio i have to start with my sugars at least at 200 cuz i drop at least 100 points when i do vigorous exercise, everyone wont experience the same drop in glucose levels but it should help to lower them

  5. Get on a treadmill and walk, or go for a walk for 45 min.  Any kind of exercise will help use up excess sugars.  The longer and more vigorous the better.  Vinegar, and cinnamon are useless and water only hydrates you.  You cannot "dilute" blood sugars.  But it will help you keep hydrated while you are exercising.  Vinegar can sometimes help digestion, but does not lower or help lower blood sugar.  There is no actual proof that cinnamon does anything, although there are some people that say it helps them.

  6. If you are supposed to take insulin, take it per your doctors orders. However if you do have a slight sugar spike there are a couple things you can do to get the sugar down. The first is, if you are fit enough, move, walk, run, dance. This will bring down that sugar. You can also take a couple tablespoons of vinegar, dilute it with water of course. Cinnamon will also bring your sugar level down.
