Can anyone recommend the best anti virus out there? At the moment I have Avira Premium Security Suite. But a friend of mine said to get Kaspersky. I'm not sure which one to keep. I mean I like Avira but I'm not sure if it's doing its job perfectly.. Money is no option, so if anyone has any recommendations I'd really appreciate it. Also, please don't say Norton. I hate Norton :(

  1. well its not recommeded that you run more then two anti viruses so your most likely going to have to choose one. i use to use norton also until i decided that i dont want to pay for antivirus.

I use this product and its free and i have not been infected with any viruses or spyware after i installed it. best of all its free.

    go to www.filehippo.com and download

Avast! Home Edition 4.8.1229 this is about 26 mb download.

I also use AVG Free Edition 8.0.138 which is also free on my other home computer. other then the interface(AVG is easier to use) and the download size, 46mb. both work fine.

  2. Let me give you a tip choosing a good antivirus for your PC because i know you really do care for your pc =)

Here's a link which serve me best choosing an antivirus http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives/2008...

I conducted a research for myself, hope it will help you...

I suggest to use avast4.8 home edition for free and use also windows defender together with it in your PC.

  3. I think Avast

                                  &

    Norton antivirus 2000 Or any

You can delete your virus from your P.C. and Internet virus.

When virus has come to your p.c. Automatically rang siren and say

caution the virus has been suspected

    Download Try & Enjoy

  4. The best antivirus system is ESET NOD32 Antivirus, the latest version is 3.0, http://www.nod32.com.sg/html/44/42/

    Why must choose NOD32 Antivirus?

    Best Detection:

ESET is the leader in proactive, precise threat protection with more Advanced+ awards for superior threat detection than any other vendor since May 2005. (source AV-Comparatives.org)

Threat Sense™ technology detects more than 75% of new, unknown, threats heuristically - even before a signature update is available (Source AV-Test.org)

ESET Threat Sense is the only antivirus technology that has not missed a single In-the-Wild virus in rigorous Virus Bulletin VB100 testing since May 1998. (Source virusbtn.com)

    Low False Positive Rate:

A very low false positive rate ensures that the “good” files on your computer will not be flagged as malware. This is due to the intelligent synergistic use of advanced heuristics and generic signatures. ESET Threat Sense has produced the fewest false positives in its long history of testing with Virus Bulletin.

    Fastest Performance:

42 MB/sec average scanning rate on Windows XP SP2 (source: Virus Bulletin).

Up to 34 times faster than the leading brands under Windows XP

    Minimal Resource Utilization:

Optimized engine uses approximately 38 MB memory on average.

Uses less than 40M of disk space.

  5. I'd suggest you to use Avast Anti-virus .....

Its free and you should register it (Its free) ....

    You'll never have a problem .... I bet .....

This is the best .... its my personal experience .....

Once I had a virus in my PC that was really difficult to detect ....

I searched the name in Google Search and you won't believe ... that it had just one result ....

None of the antiviruses showed that name ....

Then I saw Avast somewhere and downloaded it ... It removed the virus !!!!!!

    That was really superb ....

I've never had a problem since then ...

  6. there list a lot of anti virus;

you can check out ,and try

    than you!

  7. avira is good

  8. yea ive heard that kaspersky is good too, i have norton :P

  9. To be honest, that's a hard question to answer.

Symantech Antivirus Corporate Edition is my personal favorite

NOD32 is supposed to be really really well and use very little resources

AVG is pretty good and uses very little resources

Kaspersky is supposed to be good but I don't know of anything on the resources department

Avira is decent but not sure of it's resources either

I would start with AVG and Kaspersky though.
