What is the best area in LA or Hollywood area for vintage/second hand clothing stores?

Is there a specific area that is better than others for these types of shops?

what are some good ones you can recommend that also have good prices.

Melrose Ave. used to be the place to go for vintage.  Most of the better vintage shops have moved out, or down to adjacent Fairfax Ave.  Aardvarks Odd Ark is a great one down that way.

Try Jet Rag on La Brea.  There are a few stores on La Brea that are good for vintage clothing.  Venice Beach used to have quite a few vintage stores too, including Aardvarks.
