  1. really really really stinky bait

  2. nightcrawlers, doughbaits, stinkbaits, bluegills, minnows, chicken livers, and any other kind of stinky stuff.

  3. chicken liver. plain and simple. slice it with a very sharp knife, and carefully thread it onto the hook. make sure you keep a towel handy, stuff gets a little stinky.

  4. chicken liver chicken blood my cousin use that a lot it catches catfish only problem for you is it stinks but that just makes the bait like more appetizing for the catfish

  5. I use to use nightcrawlers or redworms. Both worked well.

  6. I've seen big ones on a trot line where small bluegill were used as bait.  Check with local laws about using other fish as bait.  I know crawfish and worms work well pole fishing.

  7. I work for the wildlife department and some things I've noticed about catfish is that typically worms and dough baits attract smaller sized cats, but live bait is the way to go for record sized fish, the channel cats are going to hit that stuff regardless but the big blues and flatheads will attack 3-6 inch bluegill sunfish. not greens or red ears but bluegill. if you can't get bluegills then try live gizzard shad or cut shad but the best cut bait is fresh cut skip jack Herring

  8. I like to use live goldfish, perch, large minnows, bait shrimp, and cheap hot dogs for trot-line fishing, drop lines, limb lines and jug lines. Use stink bait, chicken livers, blood bait, catfish charlies dough and sponge bait, night crawlers, live medium minnows, bait shrimp, and cheap hot dogs for rod and reel. ask someone at the bait store or marina or another fisherman what they are biting on.

  9. i use worms there free easy to catch and they work :)

  10. That will depend on the type of bait and scent. If it's a sweet bait then you're liable to attract some carp and smallmouth buffalo.

Try to find solution at http://www.marinews.com

  11. The best bait is whatever is a natural food source for the body of water you're fishing. Rivers usually has shad, my  favorite. Lakes or ponds, well you could try leaches, earthworms, minnows or my other favorite; chicken livers that's been marinated in a heavy dose of garlic salt overnight.

Here's a good website that has some very good bait and catfishing tatics for some more info on catchin the catfish:

  12. A 24 ounce loaf of Grandma Sycamore bread mixed together with a 14 ounce can of creamed corn.Mix it very good, food processor is best. Can use other breads,as long as are high ingluten, not like Wonder bread. After mixing let rest in the fridg for acouple days.Must be kept cold til you go fishing and wrapped tight so doesn't dry out.

  13. in my life I would never admit to it but they love Kentucky fried chicken skin and you can cut it in strips and it stays on the hooks fairly well.... not to mention a very tasty lunch there on the water

  14. stinkbait, worms , minnows are probably the best to use, but bread could work to depending on where your fishing
