Specifically Green Lakes if you know where that is.

  1. haven't fished there but I grew up in New England (Western MA) and fished for bass... two faithful live baits have always performed...

Shiners with a bobber - need to adjust how high the bobber is depending on the depth of the water - I usually don't put a sinker on unless they keep swimming on the surface - then I put one on and use a 3way swivel giving them about 18" to swim ( size 2 or 4 hook) >> 18 leader >> 3 way swivel with  a 1/8 oz sinker on the bottom part of the swivel then the bobber how ever high you want.  best size 3-4 inches

Or you can look around the shoreline for crayfish - normally under flat rocks either partially submerged in the water or all the way under water - they're fast!!  best size 2-3 inches

if you can't get live bait I prefer a red or a black worm or a pumpkinseed color rigged with a worm sinker - usually about a 3/8 oz...

a jointed rapala - either black / silver or gold/black and sometimes the blue /silver work well....

Before I moved down south I did mostly worm fishing or live bait...  night crawlers are also good but the bluegill usually tear them up quickly if the lake has alot of them...

    Good luck....

  2. crank baits
