some of the best baits are the bigger Rapalas including the Husky Jerk, The original Floater and the magnum.  Large Daredevil spoons work good too

1) Scrap metal pilled in your back garden.

2) Anything of value within arms reach of the road.

3) A nice piece of ungated mown land.

4) A taxed and insured van. No strike that they don't bother with documents do they.

I like to drift live minnows or suckers along weed beds.Make sure you have deep water near the weed bed and drift the minnow along the outside of the bed.

Im not a pike fisherman but ive heard a lot of good things about lamprey as a bait :) might be worth a try.

Once baited the pikey has its jewellery removed, its eyes removed and then is gutted, and dies from lack of bling. Unfortunately it is inedible. Seriously. Who could eat pikey?
