What is the best bakery?

I am looking to order a birthday cake for September 5th in Chicago. I have found many bakeries but all are very far the south loop (700 S Michigan). I will have to take public transportation to get the cake and get it back to the hotel. Please help.

The best bakery in Chicago for birthday cakes is Sweet Mandy B's. It is in Lincoln Park but it is well worth the time to get there. It is on the corner of Racine and Webster. You could take the Brown line from the Loop and get off at the Armitage stop. It is 5 blocks from the L stop. The phone number is 773-244-1174. Trust me it is worth the trip.
