Why a Celtic name like Dungeness in Sussex?  The entire area, including Rye was once a Celtic enclave, hence the Celtic place names in the area.

in my opinion one of the best is in sardinia(italy):porto cervo,porto rotondo,la maddalena...these beaches are simply amazing. but in the world there are loads of wonderful beaches so it's impossible to say which one is the best!

Cabbage beach, on Paradise Island, Bahamas. My husband and I travel frequently and we have never seen cleaner clearer water than we saw here in February 2008.Imaculate beach unspoilt and the fish you can see even without a mask and snorkel is spectacular.When i find it difficult to get off to sleep i just close my eyes and wander leisurely along this vast white soft sandy beach.Check it out on Google earth.

nissi beach is the best beach i have ever been to. Bar's around all pumping music out, all water sports at the ready and the water is so clean and beautiful, and you can watch people bungee jumping over at the other side of the beach! it's in Ayia napa!

Tulum - Riviera Maya, Mexico. Beautiful ruins, iguanas, palm trees but above all, the most unbelieveable turquoise sea and beautiful white sand. What a great question, I was back there for a few minutes, Thank You ;-)

The best beach in the world is Lumahai Beach on the Island of Kauai in the Hawaiian Islands. Its famous from the film South Pacific and overlooks the beautiful Bali Hai headland that was sung about in the film. It has no buildings or town within view and is totally peaceful and serene. If you didnt know how to find it you wouldnt know it was there as it cant be seen from any road. I once spent the perfect afternoon on this beach with my family. You have to see this place to believe it. Infact why not have a look on Google Earth or even better jump on a plane and go see for yourself......Aloha.

my beach! its in banff. it very small lol! its not that great. my dad did take me to a huge beach once millions of sand i couldn't see the sea. it was massive. i dont know where it is though.
