  1. My favourite beach near Dublin is Killiney Beach. It is very easy to access (Dart to Killiney), offers a breathtaking panorama of celebrity villas (Bono, Edge, Neil Jordan, Enya and the like), Sorrento Terrace, Dalkey Island, Bray and the Sugarloaf mountain and is nice to swim on. The only drawback is, depending on time of year, that the beach can be quite stoney... Also beware of the freak waves that appear about half an hour after the Dun Laoghaire ferry has shown on the horizon - it's the wake which washes up higher on the beach than normal. Many a towel has been lost that way... (I speak from experience.)

  2. Jesus Christ !! Don't listen to any of those people.......the 3 best  beaches in dublin are Skerries, Dollymount and Portmarnock...Dollymount was just voted one of the best in the whole of Ireland...getting a blue flag ( the beach equivalent to a michelin star ) and they don't give them out to any old beach...

  3. Donabate Beach or go to Howth or Bray.

  4. Portmarnock, Howth, Sutton

  5. bettystown co.meath

  6. Silverstrand in Wicklow. The link below mentioned a few beaches with blue flags in Ireland.  Enjoy the sunshine

  7. dalkey, britis bay, bull island, bray, greystones
