  1. I have to say that everyone is wrong about Pine bedding. Pine bedding IS NOT TOXIC to snakes. I have had snakes for 20+ years in Pine Bedding and have never had a problem. I house 5 snakes in Pine bedding and I have never had a snake die. I have a 13 foot Reticulated Python, 2 7 foot Reticulated Pythons, 1 Yellow Anaconda and a king snake. I have had over 5 ball pythons in Pine bedding and I've had over 50 snakes through out my experience. I ALWAYS use Pine Bedding. I recommend this bedding is the best and you can purchase CUBES of it for less than $10 and should last you 4 or 5 bedding changes.

    Hope this helps.

  2. Pine bedding is not deadly but it can result in health problems causing death later, Cedar is the type of bedding that can really do damage.

I recommend to stay away from anything poteintally harmful

    Preferably use aspen bedding,

Exo Terra Forest Bedding is good too,

you can use newspaper but its not very pleasant to look at

  3. Aspen Bedding is good for snakes. You can use bark, and coconut fiber too. Avoid pine and cedar they are toxic to snakes.

  4. newspaper easier to get and cheap!

  5. newspaper is faster and easier to clean

  6. cypress, aspen, or coconut fiber.

  7. aspen bedding is the best.  they make it for rodents and reptiles.  buy the one for reptiles. DUH!

  8. I would recommend the Care Fresh Pet Bedding and Litter or the Dust-Free Fiber Pure Cellulose Cat Litter for them because it soaks up the pee and water that is in the water bowl. It is safe for reptiles/snakes(that's what it said on the bag) If anything you could use aspen bedding. I am currently using the Dust-Free Fiber Pure Cellulose Cat Litter(it also soak up the waste and water. Plus it doesn't harm them because they can digest it if anything.) The "litter" controls the odor so it wouldn't smell as bad as it would smell without the odor control. So it would be the best way to go if you don't want a stinky cage/tank every week. You wouldn't have to change the cage often too.

I'm using the Dust-Free Fiber Pure Cellulose Cat Litter and so is my friend(him and his family are Red tails, retics, burmese, and ball python breeders) so I would recommend that. But it is really up to you.
