  1. Monopoly, Yahtzee and Sorry were all my favorites.

  2. chess,

  3. Wineopoly, Life, Scrabble, and all different kinds of monopoly.

  4. Monopoly & TROUBLE!!!

  5. Why Monopoly of course!

  6. I always liked Clue.

  7. Uh, I would totally have to say Rummikub. It just rules!

  8. My personal favorite is Scrabble.  I like word games and words in general.  But another favorite is Mancala.  It is an ancient game, and you can easily make one yourself with just an egg carton and stones if you don't have a game.  It is on the surface a very simple game, very easy to learn, but it is amazingly complex - a very neat game.

  9. monopoly

  10. chess because i can beat anyone at it and its challenging to the mind helping you think properly and faster but its fuin if your good at it because you will always think (you will win)

  11. The best board games I've ever played was Risk, Settlers of Catan, and Scrabble. Really fun games and not nearly as long as Monopoly or Axis and Allies.

  12. I question if it's a "board game", but Yahtzee is my favorite. I was always fond of Sorry as well.

  13. Monopoly and Scene it.

  14. Monopoly is terrible.  Lasts too long, has player elimination, etc.

Try one of the many European style boardgames, such as Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, or Ingenious.

  15. SORRY, Clue, Monopoly...

  16. Risk. I love to rule the world after crushing my enemies!

  17. APBA Baseball

    Monopoly

    Clue

    Scrabble

    Landslide

  18. I enjoyed playing the board game Bargain Hunter 1981 by Milton Bradley because it taught me how to prepare for upcoming bargains at different kinds of department stores.  Before this game, I enjoyed playing Careers 1971 by Parker Brothers.

  19. I loved Clue when I was younger, and now I enjoy Scrabble and Monopoly.

  20. Scrabble - hands down my fave!

Risk is another strategic game I enjoy.

  21. Gotta be chess. No other board game had me so addicted to it that I would play alone for hours, go spend money to buy books about it, get evil pleasure beating others, and daydream about being a world champion!

  22. Rubbish to the monopoly games.  Anyone who plays monopoly by the rules knows that the game is usually over in an hour and takes up to 8 hours to finish.

My personal favorite board game is Die Macher, an amazing 1985 german politics game that keeps all the players in the game until the very end. The game takes 4 to 6 hours to play but at no time does anyone ever feel that victory is out of reach and there are a ton of different strategies every minute.

Now, my current favorite family game would have to be Puerto Rico.  A game where each player owns a little mini peurto rico and you challenge each other by building plantations and factories while trying to gain more money and vp points than the other players.  This is a great newbie game for those not familiar with Euro Games and are trying to get away from the predictable and luck bound monopoly and scrabble games.

(and no monopoly doesn't even crack the top 4000)

Whereas Puerto rico is number one, I myself prefer more meaty and longer games.

  23. risk

  24. monopoly is the S**t
