  1. a single fin 7' logboard would probably be the ideal board for small short waves.  You need something that floats good and is easy to paddle so that it is easier to catch the small waves.

  2. I prefer lost shortboards for any type of wave or cino shortboards. I have a 6'2 surfboard and it works great on small waves and they are funner because you can do tricks and on longboards you can't.

  3. a plane ticket to a place that has big long waves thin get a board if in so cal long-board this summer late

  4. you need a fish if you want to manouuver the board. usually under 6ft. they are floaty and catch waves easily. alternatively you could by a large board if you dont want to do turns.

  5. A shorter board is the only board that will actually have time for you to make a turn on a choppy, short wave.  Are you going to Miami?

  6. I would suggest and longer board.  Easier paddling and easy turns will let you be able to make the most of those small waves

  7. a long board, 9ft +

  8. Get something big, like a longboard.
