  1. The racing dictionary. by Albert F Crater. it talks about racing words, how to use them, and what they mean

  2. Andrew Beyer's Picking Winners is pretty good at describing how he came up with the Beyer Speed Figure, but it's a little headache inducing.  The Dummies Guide to Betting on Horse Racing is pretty good.  The handicapping book I most recommend is Sam Lewin's Education of A Horseplayer, his explanation of how to read (and, crucially, interpret) the racing form is really thorough and clear, even though it's an old book.

  3. go too www.reyenterprise.com

    click on link...how to pick ponies/horseracing 101

  4. The American racing manual ,,,,,But they are hard to get it tells you every thing And I mean every thing

so If some one say 's they where a trainer in 1980 you can look them up or if they say they where a Jockey You can find out if they are telling you the truth

also it has all the sire = money won race records of every horse that ever ran ,,,, Sires , mares stakes races and all the Jockeys owners etc

    It's  the best ever ,,,,,
