  1. The Throwback by Tom Sharpe. It is absolutely hilarious from start to finish.

    Its an amazing comment on the human condition.

    An incredible parallel of modern society.

    Written with more skill and craftsmanship than any so called classic Novel.

    Completely unpretentious and incredebly engaging.

    Almost totally ignored by the so call elite of literature and the arts because it is science fiction.

  9. Probably 'Oryx & Crake' or 'The Handmaidens Tale'- both by Margaret Atwood.. read them numerous times and each time i discover a little something that i missed the time before.

    Currently reading a lot of Anne Rice too..all of her books capture me and make me want to read on and on.. Currently enjoying her Sleeping Beauty series (As A.N Roquelaure)

    All of the Harry Potter series. I know lots of people think that Harry Potter is childish but JK Rowling truly is a remarkable author for inventing an entire world and the ideas, messages, everything is just amazing. It's also a fun, easy read.

  17. 1. The Red Tent, by Anita Diamante - It's based on a character, Dinah, who is mentioned in passing in the old testament.  A wonderful story about the women of biblical times, our fore-mothers Rebecca, Sarah, Rachel, and Leah, from Dinah's point of view.
