  1. Non-fiction:

Green political thought  by Andrew Dobson

    Environmental ethics by Clare Palmer

    Fiction:

    Ian Irvine's eco terrorism series.

  2. Ishmael, Story of B, and My Ishmael by Daniel Quinn-very thought provoking, not just about the environment, but the way that we live.

Also, if you want just facts about the environment, then just pick up an environmental science textbook.  I actually like reading my AP environmental textbook sometimes.  Mine's called Living in the Environment and the writer or publisher or something is Miller.

  3. I LOVE SMOG AND CFCS

  4. 'Silent Spring' by Rachel Carson. There have been great books since then, however, her book was groundbreaking and to a large degree began the current environmental movement. Perhaps most important was that her contributions finally made it necessary for large corporations to take responsibility for their actions regarding environmental waste and degredation.

  5. Spaceship Earth

  6. Rachel Carson has largely been discredited.  In addition her little propaganda opus has resulted in millions of unecessary deaths from malaria, mostly of children in lesser developed countries; which could have been prevented by the proper use of DDT.

  7. Fiction:  Sheep Look Up  by John Brunner

Nonfiction:  Gaia:  A New Look at Life on Earth by James Lovelock
