I would suggest either HP or Dell as making decent laptops with Windows, Apple laptops are very nice BUT as someone else has said here, be sure to check it will run all you want first under Mac OSX and that you are happy to learn a new operating system if you are only used to using Windows.

One good piece of advice - if you see a laptop you think you like just go to a search engine with the make and model and type (for example) Review Dell Inspiron 1520 or whatever make and model it is you look at and I am sure you will find a lot of reviews and information to see the pros and cons of that particular laptop :)

windows.... would be the new HP models they are really pretty and very nicely designed. and durable. I have spilt vitamin water on mine. and I use it as a radio in my car. I totaled my car in a car accident and pulled this computer from the wreckage in the junkyard when it was sitting on the front seat and the only damage is a chip off the side.

or if you can stand apple. get and ibook those things are sweet as long as you dont game on it or anything.

I have a mac, and i used to want an apple laptop, but recently I've gotten verrrry tiredof my mac, for the reason being, there arent alot of programs (of what im used to using) or GAMES, for mac. There are SOME sims2 games, which i have bought, and installed, but its not very good....

Meh, so im trying to get a new computer as soon as possible, for the things i want..so no, i wouldnt think an apple laptop would be very good at all. They ARE VERY good computers, for sertain things...

but meh, not for me I guess...

so the laptop i want, and i utterly tell you with complete honesty and pride, that you should get..

is the Alienware laptop..

they are amazing, its the one i wish tobuy.

They have wonderful graphics, and memory..

the only thing i dont like is Vista.

which you can easily get rid of.

I had a Dell, but I didnt like it very much.

It messed up...and just got REALLY sucky..

they might have perfected them by now though.
