  1. Stick with camera companies like Olympus, Leica, Nikon, Canon and Fuji. Sony makes TV's and stereos first, cameras is down that list kind of far. Cameras from camera companies provide better quality and better images, time and again.

  2. sony cybershot that has 8.2 megapixels. They also come in different colors such as pink, blue or just sliver.

    Read about it here:

  3. My preference is Sony, but Canon does get some great reviews.  To answer which one is best under $600, one would have to know what you want the camera to do.

  4. i like canons...but fuji cameras are also good. kodak are c**p....skip the crappy kodaks. :D

  5. Sony without a doubt.

  6. Best value for a Subcompact is the Sony Cyber-Shot DSCT70, 7 Mps About $280. Best value in the Compacts is the Canon PowerShot A720 IS, 8 Mps about $180. Best value for a SuperZoom camera is the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H3, 8Mps about $250.

I have the SuperZoom Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H3 and I love it.

  7. I would voter for Kodak.  I had Kodak DX6490, and upgraded Sony DSC H5 when it came out, but I don't think my picture quality is as good with my Sony as it was the Kodak. I am sure a lot problem is me, not learning all the features.  I do know battery life was great with Kodak, and I loved just setting camera dock to download pictures and battery being fully charged when removing camera from dock.  I give my Kodak to Grand-daughter, when I got my Sony.  I would vote for Kodak but that is like beauty, it is in the eyes of the beholder.  Get the camera that has the all the features you are looking for at the best price, and you will be pleased with it.

    Good Luck

  8. Canons are the best quality camera in that price range. I bought a Canon Powershot 520 a few years ago, and it's excellent. Sharp, vibrant colours. Manual options. Video. It met all my specifications, and I'm still using it regularly almost three years later.

The best thing to do, I think, is to think about what features you want in a camera, and then search on Google for product reviews. You might find that another brand of camera best suits your needs.

  9. Fuji, Sony, Nikon, Canon and Panasonic.

For digital slr's, Canon and Nikon.
