What is the best brand of digital camera that can zoom in really close?

The best brand of digital camera that has great image and that will be able to zoom in really close if you are far away, but it will still take great pictures?

I have a Panasonic that i took pictures of a baseball game from over 2 blocks away, could see the face features clearly and the player's numbers on the uniform.
