For skaters or goaltenders?  Warrior is good but newer to hockey.  CCM and Nike Bauer are always safe bets.  It can vary entirely depending on the piece of equipment.  I like warrior sticks but Nike gloves.  I like vapor skates but I like CCM helmets.  It depends on what fits.  Different skates have different insteps, different widths, different stiffness and flex.  Different gloves allow you to rotate more or to bend forward or backward while some offer more protection and more support.  You have to personally try each brand for all your gear I think.

I would agree with Lopez too.  When in doubt, pick Easton.  Easton never disappoints.  I like the materials they use because as Lopez said they break in easier but they also don't break down too much.  Just right.

My opinion is Easton. I've tried every kind of hockey brand around and Easton works the best for me. Warrior, and CCM work well too. I don't like RBK very much, cause it seems to me that their sticks are heavy and the equipment seems stiff even when broken in. Easton breaks in the easiest. Warrior has great gloves and sticks. CCM breaks in nicely, and has good sticks as well.

Nike Bauer is a personal preference

RBK, Warrior, Graf, Eagle, CCM are some other good ones.

That all depends on the piece of equipment and personal preferance. When it comes to skates, I prefer Bauer above everything else. I own the One95's and I love them, the Vapor 40's are nice too, but i like the stiff boot of the supremes. I love Easton sticks, ever since I was a kid, mostly because bauer does not have a curve close enough to Forsberg's. Breezers, shins, shoulders and helmets are all comfort factor, none of those items will improve your game, it just depends on how protected you want to be. Nike Bauer are the leaders in the field and are making the most headway with new technology, so if you want to stick to one brand, Bauer is top notch.

Personally i enjoy the Bauer skates, as well as the RBK pumps which provide a bit extra support. For a stick i use the RBK's, they have good snap and are durable. There is no real preference for all the other eqipment, shoulderpads,pants, etc. I think Mission is a pretty good supplier for most gear too. And if your looking for protection and comfort in a helmet you should try the Cascade helmets. Not everyone likes them but they are very protective and comfy.
