  1. I completely agree with Nikonguy about the Canons.   Having a viewfinder is very valuable.  Look at the Powershots.  There is a good variety of models and prices.


  2. For the P N S cams, look a the Canon line, with IS (image stabilizer) and an optical viewfinder

    The LCD viewfinder can be hard to see out in the bright sunlight

    They have a lot of good cams from $140 - $350

    I like Nikons too, but it's hard to find them with the optical viewfinder, which I use a lot in the daytime.

  3. There are lots of good brands when it comes to digital cameras. What you need to do is decide which features are important to you, and then select the make and model of camera that is best suited to your needs.

    You can fill out what features you want, and it will give you a list of cameras to look at. I would then pick out a few cameras and check out some of the other review sites and get a second or third opinion on your choices:
