  1. A Puggle!! My BF and I have a puggle that just turned one.  Puggle are a mix of Pug and Beagle. He is the perfect size. Not a teacup in anyway but not nearly as big as a lab. He is about 18 inches tall and about 35 lbs. (should be about 30)  He has a good balance of personality. He is high energy for a bit then becomes a big cuddler. Very friendly and plays well with other dogs.  He was very easy to train too. I would have another if we didn't live in an apartment.

  2. Get a BOXER. My husband and i have two and love them very much. they are So loyal and lovable. The only thing that i would say is only get one if you have a large enough yard or play area.

  3. Don't base your decision on cuteness! Especially puppy cuteness, which is short lived. You need to taken into account many things, like how smart you want your dog to be (smart enough to learn commands, but maybe not smart enough to defy you?), how much time you want to spend grooming your dog, how friendly/aggressive you want the dog to be, how much exercise you can offer it, how big your house is, where the dog will live and what kind of extreme climates it might have to endure (will it be outside all day in the winter?). There are a LOT of things to consider other than the cuteness of the dog. All puppies are going to be cute.

Here's a quiz from Iams to help you get started. After you take the quiz, find a few breeds you like and research them to decide on the best one for you.

  4. There is no ''best' breed of dog or the ''cutest''. What I think is cute you might not. It also depends on what you want in a dog.

TIP: Dont listen to the people that only suggest one breed...theres a chance that they own that breed and it fits their lifestyle but there is a big chace that it wont fit yours ;)
