What is the best but cheapest pet insurer? (cat)?

I am looking at getting my 4-5 yr old moggy insured to cover dental treatment. Anyone know of any good offers? I have tried compare sites but i never trust them.

Petplan every time. Not cheapest but best cover, best service and if you claim you are still covered for that illness for ever. A lot of policies dont cover for the condition when you renew. Dont be tempted by cheaper premiums!

Petplan is great - even cat rescue homes recommend them.  Although I use Direct Line ;)

I`ve had 3 cats insured with Tesco pet insurance and have found them helpful and quick to deal with claims.I now have only one cat and it`s just about £3. a month.I had a massive claim earlier this year when one of my cats was hit by a car,2 expensive operations,which eventually couldn`t save her,plus a heap of other expenses to do with it.They dealt directly with the vet and paid the bills very quickly.They also paid me the value of my cat within a few days;whilst I was speaking to the very helpful and sympathetic lady on the phone,she brought up the fact that I`d taken one other cat off the insurance almost a year previously;I told her that he had been killed outright when hit by a car;she remarked that I hadn`t made a claim for him;I said that there were no vets bills;I just had him cremated.She said she would also pay me for the value of that cat; which again was paid within a few days. DO get insurance for your cat; Before I took out the insurance one cat cost me almost £1000. in vets fees after having to have an operation.

I also went with Pet Plan and got the lifetime plan which means that even if my cat develops a life time illness such as diabetes she will be covered each year.

A lot of pet plans don't do this and when you go to renew they wont cover the illness
