  1. I highly recommend a Nikon Coolpix. I have had them (with my warranty I get a new one when it gets old) and know people who have them and are extremely satisfied! Best wishes!

    -Great pictures

-Wonderful AA battery life (It's so nice that they are double A's)

    -Nice big screen

-Slim design so it fits great in your purse (just be sure to use a case)

-All kinds of other perks ;)

  2. I personally like the Cannon, its also the best selling Camera in Japan where I came from. As far on model you can search on line at amzon.com, however, you do not need much high pegamixel unless you are planning on printing a giant poster.

  3. My camera has 5.1 mega pixel, but I use 3 most of the time because it gives great results, is faster, and takes less memory. Also, it only has a 3 x optical zoom and some digital zoom, but it seems to impress everyone with the quality of the pictures it takes ... like magic.

Many of the new cameras come with only an LCD display. Would suggest that you find one that has an optical view finder because the LCD is almost impossible to see in bright sun.

This could be the best slim line! Two of the ladies selling cameras at Best Buy and Walmart own this camera. Saw it for $249 at Walmart.

FUJIFILM - FinePix 10.0-Megapixel Digital also $249 at Walmart. The Walmart camera man owned this camera.

This is a lot more camera and probably the best camera for the money.

Wide-angle shooting, a 12x optical zoom and picture stabilization mode combine in this camera for exceptional shooting performance, even at a distance. Plentiful scene modes, autofocus and automatic white balance controls make this camera a snap to operate. Life time Warranty (Parts & Labor)

Check Walmart and Best Buy for prices. The people at Best Buy can give you really great advise and good prices.

The first link below will provide lots of information on most of the old and new cameras available today.

The second link will help you learn to clean the camera and battery contacts on any camera you buy. Digital Cameras require lots of power. If the contacts are not really good it can cause lots of problems. This is really important.

  4. The all time winner bargain compact digital camera is the Canon 7.1 megapixel PowerShot SD1000 [not the IS] 7.1 with an added 2- gig memory card which when set in the manual mode for "Vivid" colors and videos at 30 fps in 320 dpi format provides killer images and videos under low light conditions. It currently sells for $160 at Sears:

    Good luck!

  5. newegg.com has the best and cheapest selection

  6. I wish one of my sisters would get me something over 50 dollars  for a present but you can get a sony cyber shot, a kodak , a cannon or something similar that takes great pics

  7. Go with a well-know brand name to get your money's worth. I'm assuming you're getting a digital camera, so check out Canon's Powershot series:

Cheap cameras are not worth it. Do your research. Nikon is also a good name.

  8. Go to Futureshop.com and look at the reviews for each cameras. Canon and Nikon are both really good brands when it comes to cameras.
