We will bring our own tent- define best as in the woods, clean and scenic and quiet...real camping feel---with a bathroom! A nearby lake is an added bonus.

THANKS!

  1. lmao, u make me laff so hard. "real camping feel---with a bathroom" alrite...how is a bathroom and real camping feel? ...city slickers...

  2. Check out the campsite at Ricket's Glen state park, absolutely one of the most beautiful parks in North central Poconos (and whole country). Might be a bit far from Allentown but it is definitely worth the extra drive to get there.

The site is next to a lake but the real attraction of this campsite is the presence of a series of waterfalls and cascades, as the water tumbles down from the top of the mountain.

  3. I hope you are not planning to find a campground in the Poconos THIS weekend. (8/01-8/03). It is race weekend at Pocono. Hickory Run will most likely be booked up. Beltzville might be a better option but I don't know if they allow camping. Big Pocono will also most likely be booked up too. Yoou may luck out with one of the campgrounds along the river. Landers and Kittatiny have several sites, but not NEAR Allentown, they are in the Water Gap. Some of the Federal sites in the Water Gap may also have room too.

  4. Hickory Run State Park  in the Poconos is near Allentown. It has a very nice campground with plenty of bathrooms with running water and showers. There is a lot of hiking/biking trails, good fishing is nearby, they have a couple lakes and one of them has a really nice beach.

for the person that mentioned ricketts glen:

ricketts glen state park is near my cabin and is not in the poconos
