What is the best car of these three?

In terms of value for money.

1. Mercedes C230 4matic $50 K

2. Nissan Altima 2008 3.5S $30 K

3. Toyota Lexus IS 250 4WD $40 K

lexus by far  they have the best repair record in history are mad luxurious & sporty the c mercedes is cheap and the altima doesn't really compair to either.  So I would get lexus over any other car.

(lexus is slowly eclipsing mercedes worldwide for being more luxurious and sportier with a lower price tag and next to no maintenence)

in terms of value the lexus will last the longest and is probably the best value.

they are about as boring as vanilla ice cream, but they will run forever.

I would say the Altima but

the 2.5 is better engine than the 3.5.

the 3.5 has a stiffer ride but does handle better.

unless your good with tools or have a good mechanic avoid MB & Lexus

the parts and service will bankrupt you, especially if you choose the dealerships.

Ironic, I'm not a Nissan fan, but I am a Lexus fan, but I would say for these three, take the Nissan, same some money and get all the fun you can.  The IS250 is a snail mobile, almost 9 seconds to 60 mph.. which means the old woman in her mini-van is going to beat you.  The MB will be c**p in a few years and you'll have too many issues and costs about $10K too much.

Is AWD an issue with you, because I see that the other two choices are AWD.  If so, then take the IS instead, if not then still Nissan.  FWD is just as good on snow, just don't hit the gas too hard.
