  1. The Four Dragons Casino

  2. I would check out the Rio. They claim to have a lower "house edge" overall. And they treat their players well.

Be sure to check on the players rewards program for any casino you choose. A Players Card can get you comps (freebies) at most casinos, and some of them are generous.

And read this page to see how to get more and better comps from casinos!

Be sure to use a money management system while you are there, it can make the trip a lot more enjoyable if you apply it to your gambling to stay within your budget.

  3. Doesn't matter just pick one they will all be equally glad to have your money

  4. El Cortez is locals. Best to get good comps.

    Downtown Fremont Street. Parking Garage.

At the Wynn maybe more hohum for that amount to pass thru.

They want the real whales. The ones who dump millions on bets.

  5. imho, downtown is the best, around fremont street. lotsa bonuses, cheap food..a little dangerous early in the morning, but if you have a room, you are safe. stay away from the greyhound bus station side. the absolute best hotel, imho, is the california, but you have to make reservations months in advance.

[edit] i had forgotten the name of this hotel, but I really have to give a shout out to the Golden Nugget. They made my stay incredibly pleasant, the food was great (I earned a comped buffet every single day I stayed there for 2 people) and on the last day, I made $500 playing paigow. on top of that, they have bonus hand paigow, with the most generous odds I've ever seen. pretty much everybody who played hit the bonus about once every three hands. the rooms were good, the service was great, the staff was friendly, walking distance of all kinds of great stuff, and the fremont street experience had live shows every single day. the one I enjoyed the most was the classic car show, but my wife liked the live bands.

  6. I'd say MGM, Bellagio, and Mirage.  3-5K will get you noticed and the hotels are very nice.  At Wynn or Venetian, 3-5K is no big deal, and at places like Harrahs, Paris, and Saraha, 3-5K is a high roller, but the hotels aren't all that great, so big deal.

  7. MGM is great, also Luxor, Palms is for ghetto people, Caesar's has been slipping as of recently, & the Rio is ok.

The rest I would go in MAYBE to use the bathroom, that's all.

  8. I read a book that had a great section on casino comps.  Basically, what the author did was call in ahead of time and ask one of the casino managers what, in the way of comps, they were willing to offer someone who was willing to give them $100 a hand action on blackjack for about 6 hours a day. One of the Strip casinos wouldn't offer anything and another offered to comp him a buffet.  I think Lady Luck in downtown Vegas was willing to offer him a limo from the airport, a mini suite, and food and drink comped.  The guy then basically would play blackjack at between $25 and $100 a hand ( $100 when the pit boss was around, $25 when he wasn't).  A few phone calls on his cell phone would pull him away from the table.  So by the end in actuality, he really only played around 4 hours - and by playing basic strategy, he's at a 2% disadvantage.  He talked to the floor manager and ended up getting tickets to the big fight that was being held at another casino.  In the end, the guy made something like $2000 in the way of comps and losing like $200 in gambling money.

Basically, the moral of the story is for you to call ahead and see what each casino is willing to offer you at the amount you are willing to gamble.

  9. Ive got a easier solution.

Just mail me the money and I can invest it in my kids futures instead of some mafia guys in vegas getting your money and spending it on blow, booze and guns.

  10. Sometimes if you are willing to spend big at casinos, some casinos will go the extra step and give customers free gifts, upgrade to suites, other goodies to make sure that you stay loyal to their casino.  Just don't stay in one place to long if you aren't winning.

  11. i love the Luxor!  and there are a few in the old vegas section the alot of older people go to that are good for a budget.

  12. i would have to say any of the big casinos on the strip. its always fun to go and just see what one fits you the best. walk around and check out the place if you dont like it hit the next one down just becareful of the people who pass out s**t on the street

  13. $3,000 is not going to get you tagged a "high roller" if you walk into the Bellagio, but it will if you go to the smaller places. Ideally, you should go off strip to places on Boulder Highway. Places like Sam's Town and Boulder Station have better odds on craps than strip casinos, have better blackjack games (double deck is easy to find), and even has over 100% payback video poker if that's your bag. Plus, they'll give a lot more attention to a green chip player than just about anywhere on the strip.

If you don't want to rent a car, the next best thing is to go downtown, and after that to play in smaller strip properties like Casino Royale and Bill's Casino.

  14. visit poker4ever with bonus code xrainbowx i got free bankroll to get me started

  15. = From the way you phrase the question I am going to assume you want to gamble at low house odds and get good comps. If you are looking for the best facial massage I would assume that you would ask the question differently.

= With a $3-$5K budget for gambling I think you want a nice hotel, but one that will pay attention to your budget. Someone suggested El Cortez, but that is an old casino with one location. Boyd gaming is a 2.4 billion dollar company with 16 casinos around the country. If you build up credits you can gamble at one of their other locations.

= "Main Street" is a nice Boyd casino downtown with a Victorian them. This is the only casino with 20X odds at the craps table. With the $3-$5 budget you can afford to throw $100 with each "come out" roll of the dice. If you play the full 20X odds that means the house edge is only $1 for every $1000 gambled. Those are the best odds you'll get in a casino for your budget. In contrast, roulette is $1 for every $18 dollars gambled. If they comp you a room and some meals you are way ahead.

If you like golf than you should go to their Suncoast location (off strip).

    -------------------------------

There is only one casino in Vegas that offers higher odds than Main Street Casino. Casino Royal offers 100X odds, but it is a crappy little casino with only a couple of motel style rooms. They only offer the 100X odds on one table and it is always packed. In addition, $500 is a lot to put on a dice roll.
