What is the best cd player for the car?

i just need to know, what the best brand would be, and if you know the model number, that would help me big time. thank you.

i would say probably the alpine 9887 is the best out right now, but it will run you about 450 dolors. and ya don't listen to that guy about sony, sony is horrible.

I have been an installer for basically all my life. It is my profession and its what I enjoy as my #1 hobby. Clarion is good, but 3 years ago, they changed styles and really fell of the map with their less than sleek style and sloppy user interface. Not to mention, you have to spend some cash to get 3 sets of rca preouts.

Pioneer premier is great in their higher end models.

Eclipse has always been amazing but their last 2 years have been lacking alot of the simplicity and clarity they were known for.

Sony is trash and people who know nothing about good quality buy this brand. Hint: Sony blows... xplode

Kenwood has focused primarily on the best buy customer and has made a cheaper product.

But one brand that makes it all worth while is Alpine. No matter what you are looking for, Alpine has it. clarion is the best unit out there check abes of maine also you can google it it comes up that way check the specks on it they are the best out there this is not cheap but the really good things arent either. good luck check also the speakers for the same unit some of the best on the market there again you get what you pay for  good luck
