  1. Channel 9 is the trucker's channel.  Usually lots of activity on that channel.


  2. sorry fisher dude, but ch9 is the fcc mandated "emergency channel". The truckers hang out on ch19 most of the time. I sometimes hear them on 28.045 but leave when I get the RTTY fired up.

    We are in the slow sunspot cycle (STILL and AGAIN!) so there is not much activity on the kiddy band.
