There is no "cheap" SR-22.  You've been without insurance and you've gotten in at least one accident or you wouldn't need one to begin with.  The rate will be based on your age and other demographic factors, your driving record and claims history.  Rates vary greatly from company to company, so the only way you'll get an accurate rate is to sit on the phone for a few hours and call around.

What people don't realize until they are in your situation is that it's often cheaper in the long run to simply comply with the law and have (at least) the required coverage.
