I am using Berlitz...an old paperback book, but I am looking for the best one. I also am interested in finding the best and most complete dictionary (book and online) to learn Italian.

  1. Rosetta stone is the best package

  2. The cheapest one would be one you don't pay for. Go to the library and borrow one of theirs. If there are no Italian CDs/tapes/books, ask them to order a set from another library.

  3. I have put together a selection for you of those books and online resources that I have found to be the best over the last few years - http://www.my-italy-piedmont-marche-and-...

  4. http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/italian/l...

this is the cheapest well it's free.  copy and paste that link and start learning better Italian right away. It has videos and conversational Italian.  I just got an A in a ITA-121 course and all I did was practice 2 x a week and my nom de plum was Guisseppe Blanco a pitare from Fierence.  Good Luck
