What is the best chinese food from a takeaway? and what is in it (I'm in the uk)

I'm sick of getting the same stuff, like curry, stay, s&s etc I want to try something different, but I'm always too scared because I don't know what is in the other stuff.

I like:

Crispy Aromatic Duck with Hoi Sin sauce

Fried "seaweed" - actually, it's deep fried shredded cabbage

Spring rolls, though they can be rather too greasy

Chow Mein of any variety

Prawn fried rice

Lemon Chicken

Beef in Yellow bean sauce

More or less all the shellfish dishes

Sweet and sour pork, chicken or prawns

Chinese mixed vegetables, particularly bamboo shoots and water chestnuts

satay is lovely, its peanut and chilli sauce on chicken normally, but its really thai not chinese

thai fish cakes are really good, but again they are thai not chinese

crispy duck is nice, its just crispy duck

Well I love Satay!!!!

You could try Crsipy chilli chicken or beef. - it is a sweet but slightly spicy sauce with crispy coated chicken of shredded beef usualyy had carrots and onions and a small amount of garlic.

Or how about trying Singapore rice noodles - which as all meats small pieces spicy rice

char sui fried rice is good. That has got pork, peas, and beansprouts in.

alternatively if you like more vegetables in a meal there is char siu chow mein that has pork im, beansprouts, water chesnuts, carrots, peas.

or chicken with tomatoes. its basically as it sounds with no surprises in but it's lovely.

chicken and ham fried rice, with a side of chicken balls (chicken breast chunks in batter) and a portion of curry sauce to dip them in.

the chicken at my local is great! at least i think its chicken??? ;)
