What is the best chocolate in the world? And what is your favourite kind?

I think after trying American Belgium and those found here in Britain, I think I prefer Thorntons milk chocolate with caramel center.

I have had Godiva and Hershey and Russell Stover and Cadbury (Which I must admit the Cadbury Easter Egg is a very close contender here). Plus quite a few others.

So, what is your favorite brand chocolates and what flavour?

Do you prefer dark over milk or white? I hope I am not opening a can of worms with the whole is white chocolate really chocolate since white chocolate has no cocoa solids from the chocolate liquor, and the FDA doesn't classify it as chocolate.

I was a long time believer in milk but now i"m really attached to dark... Just so much more satisfying! I don't really have a specific brand I like, Though (these are both milk) I do enjoy the chocolate that Hershey kisses are made from (and surprisingly, Hershey is different chocolate in Canada and the states, so i bought a ton of it the US because its all chocolate like Hershey kisses there, and here it's different :( )... I also like the kinder surprise chocolate. Right now I'm addicted to.. I think it's Hershey special dark... Only because I found a store where i can get them super cheap!

As far as white... I'll let it be called chocolate. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I dont.. It was my favorite for awhile but right now I don't like it.. Maybe it's due for a return soon!

Mmm.. am right now eating a big block of rich dark chocolate from some chocolate shop I found on hols in America.

I love many kinds of chocolate and I don't think you can pick an absolute favourite, but my shortlist would be

Terry's Chocolate Orange

Galaxy (dip in tea and eat it melted - gorgeousness in a bar)

Roses (the strawberry creams are to die for)

Expensive white chocoloate isn't nice but cheap white chocolate is - Thornton's White Chocolate doesn't cut the mustard but Milk Bars are fantastic. Funny, that.

lindt chocolate - they have some really good truffles..I don't know where they are from though;)

Lindt is actually known to be one of the BEST brands of chocolate in the world and majority loves lindt. I'm part of the majority.

Some other really rich brand of chocolate is Ghirardelli. A very creamy selection when it comes to the milk chocolate.

Some other chocolates i adore are

-toblerone

-cadubry

-bueno and other kinder chocolates (especially the kinder sticks)

I'm a big fan of milk chocolate

Something called Aztec Gold.  It has chili pepper in it and is available at the health food store.  But it's expensive.

I prefer Carob to chocolate. I buy a honey and carob spread online- and it tastes like chocolate sauce. It's better for you too.

i looooveeee white chocolate! my favorite candy bar is...snickers, hershey's cookies and creme, and Reese's!

i also like chocolate covered cherries.

Godiva chocolate is good too.

i love chocolate any kind except dark, milky ways, musketeers and Tootsie rolls

I like Thornton's chocolate. I love the Viennese truffles ones and the cappuccino ones the most. Other than that, I like British chocolate the best. Continental European and American ones taste a bit plastic-like probably because they have to put something in the choc to stop it melting.

The UK is spoilt for choice when it comes to chocolate and sweets. They're second to none in my opinion:-)
