What is the best city in Florida to live?

I used to live in North Miami Beach,Florida.I did not like that area.I currently live in New York,but am looking to relocate to Florida again.I want to stay away from South Florida!Any suggestions on a decent area to live and for employment?I am in the medical field.I have heard St.Petersberg,Clearwater,and Tampa are all nice areas.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Thanks!

Jacksonville, it's the biggest city landwise. :P

And like the person above you can always drive to awesome places.

The best part of Jacksonville is Jax beach. It's always a good place to chill and have fun with family. And with all the fun places you can go to, you'll never be bored.

The land is very spread out and you can always find something to do. If you ever want to go outside of Jacksonville, within a 2 hour drive you could go to Amelia Island, Historic St Augustine, Valdosta Georgia, Daytona, Orlando and many other interesting cities.

Jacksonville has grown a lot over the last several years and continues to grow even more.

St. Petersberg, Clearwater and Tampa are all in south Florida, but if your looking for a north florida home I would recommend Gainesville Florida its a good long drive to the beach but hurricanes arent a major threat and instead of swimming in the ocean you could try some of their clear springs that are really nice.

you may want to check out gainesville fl its a larger town so there is always stuff to do there is a college near by and there are jobs available in the medical field.  they are also building a new cancer hospital. its not the best place in florida but you wanted to exclude south florida which has most of the best place to live in florida i also put the email where you can compare all the places based on there ranking hope this helps good luck!!!!!!!! http://money.cnn.com/magazines/moneymag/...
