I am flipping an up-scale house with a large master bathroom. The tiled shower has clear glass doors with soap scum build up on them from probable years of non-cleaning. What is the best cleaner to remedy this problem while preserving the glass? Thanks.

  1. use lemon oil. works with no effort.

  2. Get some Scrubbing Bubbles and spray a lot on the scum, wait about a 20 minutes or so and it should wipe right off with a rag.  I am a professional cleaner and have had a lot of experience with this, it always works.  Then to shine it up rinse with water, dry and windex.

  3. Try using a wet fabric softener sheet... it takes off soap scum really well, and smells great.  Scrub the glass doors with the wet fabric softener sheets then wipe away with a wet rag, then dry.. it won't scratch them as it isn't abrasive.

  4. tilex soap scum remover

  5. Try using water & vinegar. Coat surface, let stand 5 to 10 minutes then using a plastic scrubber ( the kind that is sold in sheets, may be green or multi coloured, used for washing dishes.) The scrubber is coarse, therefore it works like a mild sandpaper. Then just rinse & you're done. ( this method also works great on T.V. screens that have a smoke buildup, just don't soak the TV screen, just dip scrubber in solution & scrub, catching excess water at bottom of screen.)This method does not scratch glass.

  6. Oh, oh, oh, pick me!  Use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.  It'll take the hard water stains and soap scum off with hardly any effort.  You won't have to inhale chemical fumes, either.

  7. Chambermaids use scrubbin bubbles foam spray cleaner and an old credit card.Just spray the glass door and let sit for about 10 minutes or so and then swipe the credit card back and forth over the soap scum and it should come out good as new. That's how the big motels keep there doors looking so good.Good Luck!

  8. Just use some warm soapy water with some white vinegar in it.  Works great and not expensive.
