we have been using g diapers and putting a cloth prefold in it. this has been going fine but now that our daughter is getting bigger we were looking into try a different type of cloth diaper. Any recomendations? We want to be a cost effective as possible . My huspand has a little trouble seeing the upfrunt cost and understanding that it is still cheaper than diposibles. (that is not my main reason for using cloth but it is a great way to get him on board)

  1. prefolds are the way to go ime

we used one size from birth to potty (infant prefolds) and medium fuzzi bunz as a cover if we needed to leave the house (we go coverless or naked at home)

you can get great deals on ebay for dsq prefolds

my total diaper cost was less than $70 (US)

  2. I personally love prefolds snappied and covered with a thirsties cover.  I have PF's from greenmountaindiapers.com and love them.  Pocket diapers are great if you don't want to snappi.  I have some bumgenius 3.0's and they work.  I plan on getting more for daycare since they're easier than PF's.  I really like fitteds and wool covers, too, but it can get expensive.  momsmilkboutique.com has free shipping and great prices on pockets and covers.

You can also visit diaperswappers.com for lots of info.  People sell used diapers there and you can get great deals on almost new and even new diapers.  Just do your research on who you buy from, just like with anything you buy online.

  3. My son uses Fuzzi Bunz. They are still a little expensive, but I buy seconds here: http://www.fuzzibunzseconds.net/store/De...

I love them, my son loves them, and my husband uses them without any problems. ;)

And they're great because you can adjust the size as the baby grows.
